Custom Fusion is a boutique design and product development studio founded in 2018 by Julian Mehu. The studio embodies more than two decades of experience in fabrication, precision engineering, and creative innovation. A seamless fusion of art, craft, and technology.

Born and raised in New York City’s West Village, Julian grew up surrounded by its rich artistic energy. His career began at fourteen, apprenticing under Canadian-born artist Jason Young, whose futuristic abstractions and pioneering use of urethane resins shaped Julian’s early fascination with material experimentation and form.

He went on to study combination welding, CAD modeling, and advanced fabrication, mastering both digital and traditional methods including CNC machining and 3D printing. Over the years, Julian directed complex, large-scale projects for leading fabrication studios, refining a process that merges conceptual design with exacting technical execution.

Custom Fusion represents the culmination of that journey. Each creation is bespoke guided by purpose, narrative, and material honesty. From conceptual development to finished object, the studio’s work is defined by its meticulous attention to detail, refined craftsmanship, and the belief that design should inspire both visually and functionally.
